Hello again. Season is over but in our small country there is no boredom or break at all. Currently national protests in Bulgaria are going on against corrupted government. Its all written here:
It is reported that around 35 000 people went out on the streets of Sofia today for the 6th day of protests. Protests at the Balkans currently are going on also in Bosnia, Greece (by default) and Turkey where riots are the most massive of all and f*cking cops took the life of at least 4 people in Istanbul and Ankara. People are just sick of this socialist model of governing here at the Balkans and woke up. Tomorrow riots will continue.
Europa League 1st/2nd round draw was announced today. We’re playing against Irtish Pavlodar (Kazakhstan), 5000 km away from Sofia. :victory:
In the 2nd round we might face Siroki Brijeg (Bosnia & Herzegovina), which is much more attractive destination. Hopefully if we manage to beat Irtish, taking in fact that the last 2 seasons we fail at our first attempt (2011/12 - Spartak Turnava and 2012/13 - Sarajevo).
Funny thing is that cska went bankrupt and decided not to participate in Europa League. Now it’s up to UEFA to decide if Botev Plovdiv (finished 4th in the championship) are to take cska’s place in EL. Presently the 3rd participant from Bulgaria is unknown and is named “N3” in the draw list. :rotfl:
This is probably the best player in our team. He is very talented and has great agility and technique. Scored a few important goals and gave a lot of assists.
I can post you links from youtube but your website doesn’t allow me to do so. :-[ “O conteúdo da mensagem foi deixado em branco.” - what does that mean?
You should copy the youtube URL into the forum, and put it inside de Youtube tag, but the URL must not have https but only http and then you’re good to go :great: :great:
Somebody told me that there is a young kid at Litex that could become the new Balakov (a.k.a. God). Do you have any reference on that kid (whose name I don’t know…maybe it’s Kolev or Despodov)?
Vutov is also ours and he is very talented too. He has great dribbling and passing skills. His first touch is also very good but sadly he is about to leave and go to Udinese. Cant blame him really our club is shit in the last years. The “New Balakov” you are referring to is Georgi Milanov from Litex. This summer he was transferred to cska moscow. He is also a good dribbler like Antonio but much more experienced. Vutov is only 17 years old. Todor Nedelev is also talented - good pass and shooting.
Here are some videos from the three players. All of them are playing as attacking midfielders (playmakers).
In Bulgaria Georgi Milanov is toughed to be the best player in the future. Although Nedelev has also great skills.
This is from the Europa League against Astana (not a strong opposition) but Nedelev was the Man of the match - 2 goals, 1 assist, a crossbar and won a penalty. All this for only 45 minutes because he was subbed in.
In general we (Bulgaria) have a lot of attacking players that are very good - Nedelev, Milanov, Ivelin Popov, Aleksandar Tonev. But we dont have a good striker. You can see for yourself when you watch Bojinov for example. ???
It’s funny because Bozhinov never had the kind of skills of other great bulgarian players. When I think of attacking bulgarian players I find myself lucky for watching Mladenov, Getov, Balakov or Stoichkov.
I believe Bozhinov is a different type of player less skilled on the technical aspect.
His problem is more in a psychical aspect. His career is done I dont believe he will ever get back on the track…
Anyway, this weekend the Bulgarian championship started. We lost 2-1 to Botev Plovdiv away with 2 goals of Nedelev and 1 by Garry Rodrigues. No Levski supporters on the game though. We are having a boycott against the players after the embarrassing defeat in the Europa League form Irtysh Pavlodar 2 weeks ago:
The banner says: “We are ashamed to watch you.” Above there are the eyes of Vassil Levski (our national hero and patron of the club) and Georgi Asparuhov (our main club legend).
Protests in Bulgaria continue. Last night everything escalated when the police used force towards protesters as people blocked the parliament. More than 100 people including ministers, deputies, journalists and other were blocked inside in the building until 4 am when the police made a successful operation of getting them out after one unsuccessful attempt around midnight which lead to clashes with protesters followed by a lot of injured and wounded people due to police brutality.
Extremely difficult times for our club so far… Out of 7 games this season we have won only 1. We are currently 10th in the championship out of 14 teams in total. Last round we made a 1-1 draw against Litex in Lovech which was a huge success. Because of terrible results lately the club management decided to release a few players including Cristovao Ramos and Joao Silva. Some of them will be released others would be probably sold cause we have no money at all. We have in total 19 players in the squad most of them youngsters from the academy. In the next days it is expected that new players will arrive but it will be a very long season…
From our side the supporters we even started a boycott the first two rounds but the club management begged us to stop in order to improve. In addition we have a good manager Slavisa Jokanovic who doesn’t deserve that kind of attitude in the beginning of his time at the club so we stopped our boycott and returned back to supporting.
