Yeah we know about it! And we hope that our “magical 10” can make a good job in Split.
(By the way, Hadjuk fans are friends of red pigs Benfica fans)
Well he started the season in Chernomorets very well. After 15 games he was third right behind us and Litex. But financial problems in the club cost him his position. Now Chernomorets have finished 8th. So I believe he will make a good job in Hajduk. :great:
Montenegro - Bulgaria 1:1 - pure luck that we made a draw. :inde:
Next game: 3rd September - Bulgaria - England ???
Going to be destroyed by my english friends
Pfff…
It won’t be unexpected.
Our NT is shite, it consists of sissies and fashion models, who are there only because of their managers’ interests. There are doubts that we could even go to pot 4 (presently we’re in 3rd), which is disastrous…
Did you read about this? - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2004814/Is-bird-Is-plane-No-Superman-friends-painted-Soviet-statue-Banksy-Bulgaria.html

Uau!!!
That’s beautiful! :great:
Yeah it is, unfortunately they washed the paint and it’s the same as before. These days there were big debates about this monument and all the others in the country that are related with the communism. Is it a disgrace to paint it like that, should they be moved, destroyed or just let them be as they are now. Surely, now action will be taken about it.
By the way, recently there’s a mass info in many Bulgarian medias that Sporting will buy Spas Delev from cska for 2 million euro. Is there any reliable info abut this transfer in the Portuguese medias?

I already read that “news”, if we can call it that.
But reliable info in the portuguese press? It’s hard to find. Every day they throw tons of names as the “big 3” signings (silly season at its best). But who knows, if that’s a “real name” between thousands that we read every day.
This year, the press is clueless about the signings of Sporting. They just heard about the van Wolfswinkel and Schaars signings when the club announced and presented them, with the players already in Portugal.
Despite that, what can you tell us about Delev?
Well, he’s nothing special. Our championship is a bit weak and he managed to score 12 goals this season in 24 matches, but he’s an average player. The top Bulgarian managers are cska fans or related to cska so they do anything they can to brag and praise all cska players so they can sell them for a solid price abroad. €2 mil for him is quite overrated, IMO his real cost is not more than €1 mil (in the best case possible for cska), especially if you take in account that the best player in our championship in the recent 10 years Gara Dembele was sold for €2 mil…

Never noticed this thread of the forum before. Zdravei Bulgarian friends!
Yeah, I don’t see it happen either. I think we should have to get rid of old wood before signing someone of the likes of Delev
I still hope this board is going to get us a quality striker that can form a deadly duo with Ricky van Wolfswinkel, or otherwise a quality winger to assist him if the coach is opting for a 4-3-3.
I wouldn’t mind a squad with […fill in the name of quality striker…], Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Delev and an academy youngster as attacking options though.
Despite your league not being a top level league, I always believed it is market where teams could invest in more. I’d include Romania to that as well. We’ve seen some quality players leave Bulgaria and Romania and play the stars out of the sky in Europe. How come it’s happening less right now? Are the teams buying foreigners too quick and preventing young talents to come through? We need a new Berbatov in this world and I’m sure soon Bulgaria will too!
I’m from Holland and read that you guys signed a Dutchie too! I expected Ars to move to one of the Eredivisie teams so I was surprised by the Levski move. I hope you’ll be enjoying his goals soon! :great:

Well, the main problem in Bulgarian teams is the lack of discipline. Youths at the age of 16 are nearly ruined, wasting their life with alcohol, “chalga discos” and drugs. Same for the “older”, but it’s that few still try hard and manage to go ahead. Our National team presently is a big shit, as for Levski - we managed good in the last EL phase just because we had classy foreigners. There’s also a problem with the sport bases - take a look here: http://bgclubs.eu/stadiums (full list in left). Most of the stadiums look like being bombed and abandoned… The municipalities don’t have money to invest in the stadiums, but they refuse to rent them to businessmen. And also many other problems…
Ars is welcomed here with great expectations, hope he’ll fit in Levski.

I have big hopes for him. And actually he is the third Dutchman in our club, the other two are Serginho Greene and Dustley Mulder - both became important players in our club. We even had one more - Andwele Slory, but he left in December.
Anyway today is the darkest day in our history. 40 years ago Georgi Asparuhov and Nikola Kotkov found their deaths in a car crash.

Cheers mates!
Have you heard the rumor about Valeri Bozhinov’s signing for Sporting?
In opposition to most forum members, I’m quite sure he would be a good singning for us if he stays injury free. He’s not a top goalscorer forward (probably the kind of player we needed the most), but I think he would be a good asset playing in the left wing on a 4-3-3 formation.
I know he moved to Malta with his parents when he was only 12 years old and always played abroad (mainly in Italy), however he’s a Bulgaria international since 2004 with more than 30 caps. You previously talked about your National Team as a bunch of spoiled kids… “fashion models” I think was the term you used… So I wonder what’s your opinion about this guy.
Thanks in advance

Well Bojinov at first was a very promising player, he played very good and became the youngest foreigner to make a debut in Serie A. Unfortunately in the last few years he is not playing so well. In both 2007 and 2008 he got a very bad injuries while being in England. Maybe this caused his regress lately plus all the women and chalga. Recently we can see him more often in music videos, than scoring goals. I hope he takes his lesson and refreshes his mind in Lisbon.
Anyway here in the media appeared an information that we are signing with a Portuguese player named Sebastiao Nogeira. Well it is written that he is only training with us. He plays as a right winger and have played in the youth system of Sporting and was lately playing mainly in Cyprus. Can you give me some info about him?
His full name is Sebastiao Jose Lopes de Melo e Nogeira :
