Hey guys… I’m sorry for this (relatively) long absence around this forum but I was partly busy and, to be honest, I was also kind of put off by some people’s chronic suspicion here… :roll:
I really can’t believe some people are still doubting about my origin. Is this some kind of game? Like “Pick on the newbie”? I can play all you want but believe me, there will be a time when we are going to run out of patience. Besides, have you even stopped to think for a moment why it is that you are doubting or accusing me? Don’t you think that if I were a Benfica “intruder”, I would have already “struck”, showing my true intentions? This is so pointless! You’re accusing me just for the sake of it! Besides, some people here don’t believe I’m from Argentina and are suggesting that I’m from an English-speaking country (by the way, thanks for the compliment in a way because you take my English as a second language as if it were my mother tongue
). If that were the case, would I still be considered an intruder? A “galinha”?
See? You doubters are digging your own grave. Just going in circles to nowhere…
Jardax XXI: thanks for my humour appreciation. ¡Un abrazo desde aquí para ti también!
MadeiraLion: Thank you! I can tell you all you want about our league, but I must admit I’m not an expert in the other leagues, though I can still give you an overall picture of them. Feel free to ask any questions whenever you want. 8)
Avantix: HOW STRANGE! This case should be considered for the X-FILES. :shock: As far as I know, I live in Ciudad de Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina. Mar del Plata is in the Provincia de Buenos Aires. I’m sure it’s just a server thing, who knows why they decided to hide the real place and show that information instead… :?:
Angel Lion: I got you, my friend.
It’s OK. And I hope so too! 8)
jubaverde: the term “tongue” also means “language” in English. Eventhough it refers more to people’s first language it can be taken as a synonym, given that there aren’t too many for the word “language”. You can check what I’m saying on TheFreeDictionary.com (the best online dictionary if you ask me and, most importantly, free
)
I swear I didn’t recall it was you who had come up with “Raviolli”. I know it was just a nickname, I was only quoting it as an example of the nicknames for Romagnoli I had found here.
Yessss! I learnt he had scored against Maritimo the very same day! I was so happy! Unfortunately, I had set up everything to watch the game on TVI Online but (Murphy’s Law at its best) their online broadcast failed a couple of hours before the game so I had to content myself with following the match thru LiveScore.com :evil: I guess something is better than nothing… At least there’s always ESPN SportsCenter, so I saw the goal later that night (but they just showed the goals, not even the highlights or a proper summary).
Of course, your foremost rule “that none is above Sporting” should be shared among any team supportes. We also believe the same in San Lorenzo. Who said you shouldn’t? But at the same time I can have a favourite soccer player and follow his career. Why not? It would be as if you followed Sá Pinto all over the world, or Ricardo, whoever you pick.
I don’t have hard feelings but I must admit that I’m a little upset for your unreasonable lack of believing (if you allow the oxymoron when it comes to reason and belief
)
alemid: Like I said in the introduction, thanks for all the compliments, my friend! Because that is what they are in the end. Thanks for saying my English is so good. Again, one doesn’t have to be a genius to understand Portuguese, specially if my mother tongue is Spanish, though I’m beginning to think I’m one, thanks to all the (indirect) praise I’m receiving from you and others… It wasn’t that hard to get “Reumatoide” was a nickname for Romagnoli. First of all, it was in capital letters (not as you wrote it down) and it sounded similar. But you are underestimating the human brain if you think someone can’t get that joke. They were saying that nickname IN the Romagnoli thread that had been created exclusively to discuss his potential (at the moment) arrival to Alvalade. Oh, something I had forgot. I was upset about that nickname at the moment because I thought they had coined it in relation to Leandro’s pitiful history of two torn knee crossed ligaments (sorry, I don’t know the English for “rotura de ligamentos cruzados de la rodilla”). I know “reuma” has nothing to do with the knee but I thought people here were suggesting Romagnoli was a lost case in terms of his once injured knee. You follow me?
Oh, and as for reading Portuguese journals or checking the Alvalaxia Blogspot, again: GOOGLE, GOOGLE, GOOGLE!!! Have you heard of that? :twisted: So, I’m sorry, no mask here! What you see is what you get! Oh, and of course, what you proposed at the end is what I’ve been proposing ever since you all started doubting. Go check my weekly report I had told you about… (by the way, feel free to read the Romagnoli entry
)

… and drop me an e-mail to that account. You will receive a prompt reply from none other than me.
Of course, that is if you really want to put an end to this ridiculous circus. If noone writes to that account, I will take it as you really like this stupid game that I’m getting tired of…
By the way, you might want to revise your Math skills… :shock: :twisted:

Check that sum… 99.8 + 0.02 = 99.82 :?:
unless you reserve the remaining 0.18 as an ace up your sleeve for future accusations. :lol:
I write “HA-HA” or “HE-HE” because I’m writing in English so it’s like I put on my “English chip”. “JA-JA” or “JE-JE” is for Spanish. Moreover, if an English-speaker reads “jaja” he will interpret it as “cha-cha” (“j” in English sounds more like a “ch”) and be completely clueless.
Super Liedson: I don’t know what are all the facts you’re talking about. Why don’t you try answering back any of the things I wrote to you? Or you pretend to ignore my arguments so that you don’t have to admit that I’m really from Argentina?
Felina: Gracias por tu recibimiento. A propósito, ¿dónde aprendiste a hablar/escribir en castellano/español? Y… Te diré que me siento un poco (mucho) señalado por algunos compañeros tuyos, pero la estoy llevando con paciencia…
Rui: Why do you speak in Portuguese behind my back?
Have you even checked what I answered to you about Tinelli and San Lorenzo’s players? Or you’re also pretending to ignore my arguments like Super Liedson?
JS_Veron: Thanks for your welcome, too! Mmmm, your nickname rings the bell
I guess you won’t see him in the next World Cup.
By the way, for all my doubters’ relief, here’s something I didn’t quite get: “bem apurado e parece ser porreirito”. Also, there’s something that Bileao said and whose exact idea I couldn’t grasp: “E eu que sou português é que me esqueci de pôr o til no meu nick.” :?:
:lol: “¡Aguante Sporting, carajo!” 8)
hugo66: Thanks for your welcome! It’s a relief to have another Spanish speaker like you, Felina or JS_Veron. This way, whenever I get fed up with English, I can switch to Spanish with you. 8) You know, there’s a very detailed piece in English I wrote in a Juventus forum when Leandro and Gonzalo Rodríguez (now in Villarreal) were rumoured to go there. But I don’t have it saved or at hand so you will have to give me some time. I will look for it and copy and paste it here. I just hope it is still there because that was like two years ago. By the way, the members in that forum could care less where I was from. They were just happy to have a new member who could contribute to their message board. Different philosophies, I guess…
dmalmeida: What can I say? BRILLIANT! And I’m not only saying this because you defended me, but also because of how you “presented the case”. That is what I call 100% objectivity. Judging something from every possible angle. If only there were more people like you in this world. It would be a hell of a lot better, I can guarantee you. So I take it you also speak Spanish. Good! I can add you to the Spanish speakers list in this forum. We’re already JS_Veron, Felina, hugo66, you and myself. You know, I’m getting familiar with Sporting’s team more and more as we speak but I still don’t know some players. Does this Anderson Polga play the first (right) center defense (the typical number “2”)? If that’s the case, we do have some promising young stars in that position in San Lorenzo but they still have to gain more experience before they jump to Europe. Please, don’t take them yet!
Well, that’s it for the time being. I shall try to come back more often. Don’t miss me!
