Hmm, ok, aceito, faz sentido. A questão aqui é que a música finaliza a trilogia, ou seja, só seria uma trilogia se as histórias estivessem interligadas… por isso é que acho que apenas a teoria da execução faz sentido, porque as músicas seguem um caminho que já referi no post anterior.
Encontrei uma outra interpretação que também poderá fazer sentido, apesar de não achar que seja isto.

Isso é uma prespectiva claramente tendenciosa por parte da pessoa que escreveu isso. Até pode estar correcto, qualquer coisa o poderá estar… mas ele não está a permancer neutro nessa apreciação, provavelmente nem se dará conta disso mesmo.
Se ele estivesse a transmitir o que a música lhe lembraria teria de ser aceite, mas na altura que diz que o “cantor está chateado…” está claramente a fantasiar de como o compositor vê a própria música.
Para ser sincero acho essa prespectiva demasiado romântica para algo tão tenebroso. Nothingman e black são claros hinos/odes a um amor perdido… Footsteps nem pensar!

O ‘‘it was you’’ não tem que ser ‘‘eras tu’’, eu interpreto-o como um ‘‘foste tu’’. ‘‘Passos no corredor, foste tu (que me levaste a fazer isto, ou seja, a culpada)’’, por isso nunca disse que se referia a um qualquer guarda, mas à mãe, pessoa que deu origem a tudo na Alive.
