Around 500 fans supported the team at the last open training before the derby in Saturday.

Today is the Big Day! First derby at Georgi Asparuhov stadium since 2003…

Well, in fact there is a “company”, created by some members of the groups and through it legally the club hires stewards, but it’s possible for everybody from the groups to be a steward. And if you aren’t in a group it’s possible to be a steward if some of the responsible people know you very well.

But before any match a list of the stewards (3 names + UCN for everyone) must be provided to the club and the police and they approve it. It’s just to hold responsibility if things get out of hand…

Why are cska players using the Europa League patch in their sleeves? Don’t you use the Bulgarian League patch on the right sleeve (like other leagues)?
I only followed your game until the 0-3, and I saw the final result and… 1-3?!

Btw, I read that there were some troubles between cska supporters and the cops, with one fan being in very bad conditions (almost dying…). Is it true?

For the patch - it is common in Bulgaria, because usually the management of a club tries to save money and so players play whole year with only 1 set of outfit. ::slight_smile: Now we personally have a special contract with Nike and I think we have 2x2 sets of outfit provided but some years ago we too played in the Bulgarian league with UEFA Cup patches…

As for the trouble… Our stadium is in a bad condition. When cska fans arrived they first trashed the fence and then broke some concrete parts and started throwing them against the police among with flares and bombs. The police decided to wait and then rushed them out of the stadium in the halftime break.

Here you can see the fence outside of the stadium. The edges are razor sharp. After being pushed out of the stadium in the jam cska fans started jumping over this fence and one of them felt and was stabbed on it. ??? :frowning: He was immediately driven with an ambulance, but I don’t know what is his present condition…

By the way, another photo just to illustrate what exactly is the outer fence…

Hi again. Lately our team is not doing so well and we are winning our games very hardly. Anyway we are still 2nd in the championship right behind the peasants from Litex. And next week will be very strong because we have away games in Lovech against Litex for the Cup and against the Orcs from Minyor in Pernik. All these in four days. The game for the cup is really, really important mainly because this is our last chance to win some trophy this year.

The national team made a 0-0 draw with Switzerland and both teams can now say “Goodbye” to EURO 2012.

Anyway the most important thing is that we started a initiative to repair the memorial of our two main legends - Georgi Asparuhov and Nikola Kotkov. It is situated on the highway about 40-50 km away from Sofia. This is approximately the place where they find their death in 1971. So the memorial was in a very bad condition. Here are some pictures to get an idea what was it like.

So we saved some money, bought some materials and we went about 50 people on the place to clean it up and restore it. We cleaned up a lot of garbage, planted trees and flowers, painted and made some graffiti. For just one day with managed to make the place a lot nicer than before:

Here is a picture to see how it looked before and now:

We are all very happy that we achieved this and finally the memorial looks quite good. Even the sports media wrote about this event.

Regards.

AWESOME WORK :xock:

Wow what a difference :great:

Respect!

Great work!

We lost on penalties… Three years ago we lost again on penalties… against Litex… now the same thing… Damn fucking luck…

And someone has taken some of the trees we planted at the memorial. :frowning: ??? I really hope the man who did that is dead by now…

Sad. Maybe the municipality did it?

Nope, most probably it’s a subhuman, who will get 20-25 euro from it, disgracing a memorial…

And by the way - what is this? ;D http://scfarense1910.blogspot.com/

Their logo looks pretty much like your old one. ::slight_smile:
