FC St. Gallen

Jah, of course would this be very nice… and i would return to Lisboa one more time…for supporting my green-white guys, hehe ;D

If someone of you guys is looking for an accommodation (f.e for groundhopping, etc) i may could help…

Didnt know that there is a portuguese expression for St. Gallen. Or du you really say São Galo?

Err… The translation should be close to São Columbano; check these Wikipedia links:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Gall
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbanus

I know… He’s called Gallus in German… this is why the town has the name St. Gallen now…

So in St. Gallen you speak german right?

Well, nice ground. Impressive the peolple supporting in the stadium, very beautiful :xock:
I really like St. Gallen’s t-shirt, very pretty and somehow familiar  I want a scarf from St. Gallen too ;D

After see the map and verify St. Gallen is near the border with Germany , i almost sure about them speak german in the town.

Ja, wir sprechen deutsch…
We are speaking a special dialect of german… the guys from Germany dont understand us… and we dont like them, either…

Almost 17% of St. Gallen´s population are german and also 4% Portuguese what in numbers is about 700 :great:. I consult Wikipedia and see that German is their official language but over 80% of the population resident in SG speak in a how do you call it in English? St. Gallen German Mix (St. Gallendeutsch?).

Time for some more pics:

Mister Balakov photgraphed in February of this year by a friend of mine… ;D

Two great guys in St. Gallen this Summer

Stadium opening

Demolition of our good old Espenmoos, which was 98 years old…

Season 2007/08… on of the last games in Espenmoos…

FCSG-Fans in Luzern…

Gooooooal!!!

Hehe, yeah there are lot portuguese people in Switzerland, thats right…

German is the offical language… so newspapers or letters are in German… sms, and the spoken words, etc… are in Swiss dialect…

Im not portuguese at all, but i like your national squad, too…
I’ve seen the nice 2:2 against Liechtenstein in 2004 and 3:1 this spring live in the stadium…

Hehe, and thank you for beating Basel… we dont like them at all… :cartao: :rotfl:

uuups… i’ve posted more than i wanted, where can i delete postings?

anyway… lets post some more pics:

impressions of our old stadium… we loved it so mutch…

hey

someone who used to play in switzerland told me that in in your country football is regarded as a bit of a laugh…that you guys don’t really take it seriously.

i never had this impression. is this true?

You cannot delete any post. You just can ask a Mod to delete it or just change the post into somehing new you want to say

Buah… i’ve the same meaning like you… our football isnt too bad… technichally strong, mentally bad… i think you could compare it with your leagues…

Attention, i think we should all write in english in the international lounge.

Yeah, youre right… but i understood what you’ve been talking about, no worries… But I think its worth to think seriously about this idea… a green-white federation… or something like that… a plattform for groundhopping and green-white friendship, why not?

Ah ja… i hope that Vitoria is going to win against Basel. I hate theml

I didn’t like their playing at all when they played in Alvalade XXI last season. Their Portuguese forward was not really nice at all, far from it, obviously for having played in SLB before.
I have a friend in Geneva, who used to be a FC Zurich fan, but I suspect he now supports Servette FC.

Nooo, you have to support forever the same football club… this is passion, this is love…

Here three video clips of our fan scene… what do you mean?
