3 players are injured right? Because of their injuries they had been taken free from the national team. Will they be fit to play against Celtic (or even us?)?

All three, or four, will be 100% fit by Saturday.

Its a meaningless friendly, and sadly, the players have decided to call in sick - in the case of Barry Ferguson it is a needed rest. He's played all bar one of our 51 games this year - and is carrying an ankle injury requiring surgery

Well, you'll be playing a bruising old firm derby just before the UEFA Cup match. That's got to be good for us!

Last night was one of the worst games of football on show for a long while!

Both teams were poor, but in all fairness a draw was probably the right result. We play negatively against teams with flair and pace, and it sort of worked for us.

The last 20minutes or so, we looked very tired and gave away a few sloppy chances.

Spoke to one or two Sporting fans before and after the game, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We sit in the stand next to the away fans, and their was swapping of jerseys and scarfs - which is always nice to see.

We all eventually got tickets for the away game, and are very much looking forward to the return game next week - where I predict a 1 - 1 draw, with Rangers naturally going through!

O director de comunicação do Sporting, Miguel Salema Garção, veio hoje apelar aos adeptos «leoninos» para que comprem rapidamente o bilhete para o jogo frente ao Rangers, para desse modo evitar que os adeptos escoceses estejam em maior número no jogo da segunda-mão dos quartos-de-final da Taça UEFA.

«Os Rangers levaram 20 mil adeptos a Barcelona. Eles costumam acompanhar a equipa em grande número e cabe agora aos sportinguistas adquirirem os seus ingressos de forma a evitar que o adversário esteja em maioria em Alvalade», alertou Salema Garção, em declarações na Renascença.

Cerca de 10 mil adeptos escoceses já estarão garantidos para o jogo da segunda-mão, no entanto a partir de segunda-feira são esperados mais adeptos que viajam até Lisboa para comprarem os respectivos ingressos.

O Sporting empatou o jogo da primeira-mão a zero e está tudo em aberto para partida da segunda-mão."

sinceramente n gosto mto do actual simbolo do sporting. preferia o anterior. embora considere este mais "moderno" mas n gosto de ver palavras em simbolos.

A little update to our Rangers fan .

Sporting just wasted Braga for two nil and we didn't even start with the first team, so be afraid, very afraid... Specially if your team play the same way they did in Glasgow.

I have got joke for you, I heard that with the luck Rangers had this season they are likely to come back from Portugal with Madeleine McCann...

I hope you have a sense of humour as a bit of banter never hurt no one.
I reckon you are more likely to come back with the kid than with a victory, still, all the best, mate and enjoy yourself when on tour in the gorgeous city of Lisbon, from where I have the good fortune of being a natural.
