Welcome @slig !

I live in Berlin since last month and I will go to Dortmund for BVB vs SCP!  :victory:
"Passar este amor esta paixão de geração em geração é a obrigação de todo e qualquer leão. Crescer e aos putos ensinar esta forma de viver e ao mundo gritar: Sporting até morrer!"
THE DRAW
1. What were your thoughts when you realized you were drawn into group F with Dortmund? Did you care at all or had you wished for another team from pot 2 (bar Porto for obvious reasons)? If the latter: Which one and why?

Mixed feelings, horrible draw considering we want to fight for the next stage, excellent considering Ronaldo is coming home and that i have several BvB friends, which is one of the reasons that make BvB my favorite foreign club.

THE GAMES
2. Do you have any recommendation for travelling BVB fans, i.e. restaurants and bars in which they'll be welcomed, ideally in the city center or close to the stadium? Any Lisbon sights which you consider must-have-seen for fans who fly in and out on match day?

Generally, the food here is amazing. Regarding night life everyone will tell you the same thing... Go downtown, to Bairro Alto and surroundings. You ll have a great time. We dont have any iconic place to visit - besides our stadium  - i would only recommend to stay around the city center and enjoy... It s the best option for a 1 day trip. What usually people like about Lisbon is the different atmosphere, architecture, the food, etc.

3. Do you plan to travel to Dortmund for the 2nd leg?

I want to go and spend there one week, we ll see if it s possible.

4. Guess the result of the 1st (Sporting-BVB) and 2nd leg (BVB-Sporting).

3-2 ; 2-2.

YOUR CLUB / TEAM
5. Unlike in the Bundesliga, there's an actual title race in Liga NOS. Do your club execs / Jorge Jesus (JJ) consider the Portuguese league title more than or equally important to success in the Champions League? Can we expect your strongest team on the field or would you expect that some players get rested?

The title is our main goal, considering winning CL is just a dream, for now.
You can expect our strongest team, this season our squad allows us to change some players and keep the same level, so i would say we ll be close to our strongest team in Portugal and in Europe.

6. Can you characterize Sporting's / JJs' style of football? What is his preferred formation, if any? Is he adapting his tactics to competitions (Portuguese league versus Champions League; league or group matches versus knock out matches) or does he follow his ideas no matter what? Does he like to rotate players, does he give youth players a chance?

Offensive football, but also solid defensively. He is a great coach. 4-4-2.
His main goal is being competitive, if he can include competitive Academy players, he will. He was accused of not giving a change to young players in Benfica academy because they have a poor academy, here he already gave changes to many young players and two of them are very important players right now - the CB Ruben Semedo, and Gelson Martins a right winger.

7. Who are your key players our lads should 'fear' the most (bar W. Carvalho), and which qualities make them so important? Which players are a potential liability and why?

No idea yet, many new players. I would say Bas Dost, which you already know, then all the wingers are good players and i have no idea who will play against you... Adrien is very important to keep our balance, specially against strong teams, and has good technique. Then, Rui Patrício, our keeper, we love him and he really is a great keeper, just remember the Euro final.

THE BUNDESLIGA and BORUSSIA DORTMUND
8. Do you follow or watch the Bundesliga, bar games of Bayern Munich?

I just watch some BvB games, i dont follow much international football... Just the team where Ronaldo plays, Premier League and occasionally Bundesliga. Bundesliga is my favorit league after PL, exciting atmosphere and great matches, the only problem is Bayern being so dominant.

9. Who's the BVB player you 'fear' the most if any, and why?

Reus and Aubameyang.

10. How do you rate Rafa Guerreiro (who happens to be a Benfica fan  ) ? Has he been on your radar before his rise on the international stage at the Euro 2016?

Great player, let s see how he develops. I wouldnt mind to have him on our squad.
By the way, LB position is our weakest position, but dont tell it to Tuchel, please.

@slig there was a minor issue with the permissions profile, but you should now be able to post in this and other topics of the "International Lounge" board. Send me a PM if you still have problems with it.
Tudo bem! Obrigado!
Damn it, I had a big, nice post giving my two cents and just as I was finishing writing it the lights went out. This time I will give much shorter answers, don't take it as arrogance, please.

THE DRAW
1. What were your thoughts when you realized you were drawn into group F with Dortmund? Did you care at all or had you wished for another team from pot 2 (bar Porto for obvious reasons)? If the latter: Which one and why?
I think pot 2 was very balanced so there was not a clear favorite or a clear team to avoid. I would prefer Sevilla or Leverkusen, but I don't think there is much difference.

THE GAMES
2. Do you have any recommendation for travelling BVB fans, i.e. restaurants and bars in which they'll be welcomed, ideally in the city center or close to the stadium? Any Lisbon sights which you consider must-have-seen for fans who fly in and out on match day?
I'm not a big tourism nor drinking specialist so I will leave this one aside.

3. Do you plan to travel to Dortmund for the 2nd leg?
No, but if it is of any consolation I don't plan to travel to any of the away matches.

4. Guess the result of the 1st (Sporting-BVB) and 2nd leg (BVB-Sporting).
Not really a guess, more of what I would think would be a compromise between realistic and good results would for us: 1-0 on the 1st leg, 1-1 on the 2nd leg.

The Portuguese League title is by far our priority, but in the UCL you can still expect the strongest Sporting possible. If it was the Europa League it would not be the case.

JJ's style is a very attacking one, but with a strong defense too (despite the large amount of goals conceded in the pre-season matches). During his times at Benfica, JJ wouldn't change too much between Portuguese League and UCL matches, or even within the matches themselves, and when he did, the team would play very poorly cause they weren't used to it. Now I think he changed and he does adapt to the opponent, although he didn't the last year in the UCL preliminary matches, costing us the place in the main stage after winning 2-1 home and being with a 1-0 advantage away we ended up losing 3-1 away and going out. Last week against Porto was a good example of the change in mentality, where he replaced B. Ruiz (2nd Striker) for B. Paulista (Defensive Midfielder).

7. Who are your key players our lads should 'fear' the most (bar W. Carvalho), and which qualities make them so important? Which players are a potential liability and why?

The player to fear was Slimani. Now that he's gone, it's hard to say which of the new players are to be feared. Our biggest hopes lay with Markovic and Campbell. Our key players are R. Patricio, William and Adrien and there are no real liabilities, but the weakest link is our left and right backs.

THE BUNDESLIGA and BORUSSIA DORTMUND
8. Do you follow or watch the Bundesliga, bar games of Bayern Munich?
I don't follow it at all because Bayern always wins and there are no Portuguese and/or ex-Sportinguistas playing there.

9. Who's the BVB player you 'fear' the most if any, and why?
I don't really fear any player, but then again, I don't know the team very well.

10. How do you rate Rafa Guerreiro (who happens to be a Benfica fan  ) ? Has he been on your radar before his rise on the international stage at the Euro 2016?
I don't give a damn about him being a Benfica fan (we just got Markovic on loan and when he left Benfica he said he wouldn't play for any other portuguese team and that he hated Sporting, so you can see what being a "fan" means...).
He has been on our radar for the last couple of years, since he started playing for the U21 team, but he didn't - and still doesn't - get too much attention because he hasn't played in any of the three big clubs (Sporting, Benfica, Porto) and that's how things work in Portugal :)
THE DRAW
1. What were your thoughts when you realized you were drawn into group F with Dortmund? Did you care at all or had you wished for another team from pot 2 (bar Porto for obvious reasons)? If the latter: Which one and why?

Well we were on pot 3, so I was expecting a tough group. But I am happy that we have the opportunity to play against such big clubs as Real and BvB

THE GAMES
2. Do you have any recommendation for travelling BVB fans, i.e. restaurants and bars in which they'll be welcomed, ideally in the city center or close to the stadium? Any Lisbon sights which you consider must-have-seen for fans who fly in and out on match day?

Can't really help you cause I'm not from Lisbon, but just stay away from something called Estádio da Luz, smells pretty bad in there

3. Do you plan to travel to Dortmund for the 2nd leg?

No $$$, but I know we are going to be represented in there.

4. Guess the result of the 1st (Sporting-BVB) and 2nd leg (BVB-Sporting).
I'm not very optimistic, a draw at home would be good.

Portuguese league is top priority, but I'm expecting to be at full force in the Champions league aswell, we have a good team this year.

We play in a 4-4-2, I don't think he is going to change that a lot. Our best youth team players right now are Rúben Semedo and Gelson Martins, I'm pretty sure they're going to play against you.

7. Who are your key players our lads should 'fear' the most (bar W. Carvalho), and which qualities make them so important? Which players are a potential liability and why?

William, Adrien and Bryan Ruiz are our best players right now, but I'm hopping that the new signings do well. We also have god himself, Rui Patrício.

THE BUNDESLIGA and BORUSSIA DORTMUND
8. Do you follow or watch the Bundesliga, bar games of Bayern Munich?

Not really, but I might start watching your team, specially if you start to have a chance in the title
9. Who's the BVB player you 'fear' the most if any, and why?
Reus and Auba are going to be a nightmare to our defenders.
10. How do you rate Rafa Guerreiro (who happens to be a Benfica fan  ) ? Has he been on your radar before his rise on the international stage at the Euro 2016?

I really like Raphael, he has the potencial to be the best left back in the world, no kidding. But you have to put him in the first team
He was too expensive for us, and i'm pretty sure Benfica would grab him if he wanted to play in Portugal.

Sorry for the english.

So I'm dreaming of a double passage to the next step of the Champions League by Sporting and BvB all together.

Would be great!

Eu percebo melhor do que escrevo. A língua alemã é complicada .

Estás no sitio certo.

And what do BVB fans think about Sporting ?
Hi there and welcome.

I am a Sporting fan but I also like Borussia Dortmund a lot.

THE DRAW
1. What were your thoughts when you realized you were drawn into group F with Dortmund? Did you care at all or had you wished for another team from pot 2 (bar Porto for obvious reasons)? If the latter: Which one and why?
I really wanted an easier group. I will love watching a Sporting vs BVB. But the group doesn't give us many chances since you two (Real and BVB) are the main candidates. However, let's see what we can do.

THE GAMES
2. Do you have any recommendation for travelling BVB fans, i.e. restaurants and bars in which they'll be welcomed, ideally in the city center or close to the stadium? Any Lisbon sights which you consider must-have-seen for fans who fly in and out on match day?
I'm not from Lisbon, on matchdays I usally go to the roullotes near the stadium. I think you will like it.
3. Do you plan to travel to Dortmund for the 2nd leg?
Not really, but if something nice comes up... Who know, I would love to visit your stadium.
4. Guess the result of the 1st (Sporting-BVB) and 2nd leg (BVB-Sporting).
I'll pass this one.

Last season he didn't care much about other competitions other than Liga NOS but this year with Champions League I think it will be different. We have more options than we did last year so I think we can expect strong teams on Champions League.
I agree with what Marius said about this.
7. Who are your key players our lads should 'fear' the most (bar W. Carvalho), and which qualities make them so important? Which players are a potential liability and why?
We lost 2 of our 5 most important players. Our key players are William Carvalho (as you said), Adrien Silva and Rui Patrício. The attack has a lot of new options and I don't know them yet (you probably know Bas Dost).

THE BUNDESLIGA and BORUSSIA DORTMUND
8. Do you follow or watch the Bundesliga, bar games of Bayern Munich?
I usually watch Borussia Dortmund games (not always paying atention to the game though).
9. Who's the BVB player you 'fear' the most if any, and why?
You have a great squad this year, I don't even know.
10. How do you rate Rafa Guerreiro (who happens to be a Benfica fan  ) ? Has he been on your radar before his rise on the international stage at the Euro 2016?
I only know him from Euro and I think he was great. You might have bought a great player. I wish we could have him since our weakest position is LB.  By the way, is he the first portuguese player to play on Borussia?

Dortmund vs Sporting XI:

-Our Goal keeper is better than BVBs
- Sporting has better centerbacks than BVB
- BVB has MUCH better Fullbacks than Sporting
- Sporting's Midfield is stronger than BVB's and we will probably dominate the midfield area easily, we have Adrien Silva and William Carvalho, The midfield duo that won Portugal the Euros.
- Reus / Schurrle/ Dembele/ Kagawa are Better than our Wingers in overall quality, but our Coach knows how to get the best out of our players and Markovic + Joel Campbell / Bryan Ruiz + Gelson Martins can do quite a lot of damage.
- Aubameyang is allot better than Das Bost.
- Our coach is one of the best in the world, I Would say in fact that no other coach would be better for Sporting, not even Guardiola or Mourinho.

I Feel like Sporting can win the home game if we play with our best XI and BVB can win in their stadium.

we play in  a 4-1-1-2-2

                   Bas Dost
                                Markovic
Bryan Ruiz                                    Campbell
                        Adrien Silva(C)
                     William Carvalho
Bruno César                                  João Pereira
           Ruben Semedo   Sebastian Coates
                           Rui Patricio

Good luck BVBs fans :great:

@slig

And what do BVB fans think about Sporting ?

Nao sei.

@slig  I would like to see your answers to the questions  :great:

So for me and the BVB right?

THE DRAW
1. What were your thoughts when you realized you were drawn into group F with Dortmund? Did you care at all or had you wished for another team from pot 2 (bar Porto for obvious reasons)? If the latter: Which one and why?

First Real Madrid: "Boring". We met them a lot in the last years. But ok, maybe they want some more asskicks from us.
Sporting: Great! something new for all. And dangerous but makeable team.
Legia: No special feelings about. At least a team we havent met so often i think.

THE GAMES
2. Do you have any recommendation for travelling BVB fans, i.e. restaurants and bars in which they'll be welcomed, ideally in the city center or close to the stadium? Any Lisbon sights which you consider must-have-seen for fans who fly in and out on match day?

When i was living in Lisbon one of my favorite places were "Tejo Bar" right down in Alfama, a really little Bar with an owner who is singing all the time and the guests have to sing too. You could take your beer on your own and when youre leaving you just have to say how much it was and pay. You could play chess and thousand other games there, it was great. Beside that the miradouros are always worth a watch and a aim of a walk. Belem is cool and the Pasteis tastes fantastic but its a typical Touristic thing and the somethimes huge crowds there sucks. There was another place in Alfama it was the Bacalhoeiro (?) a cultural center with good concerts and social things, good alcohol, good music, good people. And in the near of Chiado or Baixa (i dont remember exactly) was a place called "Crew Hasan", its organisation was bad but somehow the place was cool. There were a lot of beautiful places, i only want to mention one more: One night, all bars were closing and i got to go, other people who also didnt want to go to sleep showed me a secret Jazz-Bar behind a ultra-thick wooden door, on the streets you could hear nothing, and the people who picked me up were saying "its here" and knocked on that door, and were knocking and knocking, for 2 minutes or so, i said: "seems there is nothing here, why you are knocking on that door?" and finaly the doors gets open, suddenly loud noise came out of it, the guy who open said: "quick come in" and we were entering a bar in a basement where all the tables had names of famous jazz-stars on it, a band were playing and the party was great (if someone knows where this is, please tell me! I think it is near the Castelo).

For only one day i would say: just walk around at Alfama to Baixa/Chiado to Bairro Alto or Mouraria and just look at the city man, its enough ;-) You will reach great places in each direction!

3. Do you plan to travel to Dortmund for the 2nd leg?
Dont got the money :(

4. Guess the result of the 1st (Sporting-BVB) and 2nd leg (BVB-Sporting).
2:2 at Alvalade
3:1 at Westfalen Stadion

YOUR CLUB / TEAM
5. Can we expect your strongest team on the field or would you expect that some players get rested?
Our squad deepness is insane. Never got so much great players on so much positions. So we dont got team 1 and team 2, we got a whole squad where everybody is important and could play at each game.

6. Style of football? What is his preferred formation, if any? Is he adapting his tactics to competitions (Portuguese league versus Champions League; league or group matches versus knock out matches) or does he follow his ideas no matter what? Does he like to rotate players, does he give youth players a chance?
Possesion based, but with strong Gegenpressing all the time and also capable of Counterattacks (with all our speed). Very flexible, also in game changing is possible.

7. Who are your key players our lads should 'fear' the most, and which qualities make them so important? Which players are a potential liability and why?

I dont know, season just has started.

9. Who's the Sporting player you 'fear' the most if any, and why?
Bas Dost. He can do nothing great in a game but suddenly be in the right place and make a goal. Hated him in the Bundesliga if he was playing against us.

10. How do you rate Rafa Guerreiro ? Has he been on your radar before his rise on the international stage at the Euro 2016?

Before our transfer i didnt know him, than i watched him at the Euros and were thinking: my god is he good, thanks to our scouting and managment section! He will give Schmelzer a hard fight and more options to us.

Yes, thank you for your answers  :great:

Only correct line 9. It's Sporting we are talking about

Also we look for a recommendation for travelling Sporting fans.
