SEGA announced that any FM12 edition on PC & Mac will have to be activated through Steam. Here's a summary:
• Need to be online to activate FM12 before start playing
• Need to sign up to and install Steam client
• Once activated, you can play it in "offline mode"
• Saved games are stored locally, but you can play FM on any machine by signing into Steam and selecting it from your purchased games
• Staying connected to Steam will mean FM12 is auto-updated with any patches released


Football Manager 2012 This is SEGA's move to fight piracy guys. People who have had even one problem with Steam are definitely going to hate this, and it's understandable.
The question is for people who never tried Steam before, if they're going to give it a shot. Registering on Steam as well as the Steam client are both free.

@Michael: It goes for any FM12 edition on PC/MAC, meaning that you won't be forced to actually buy the game from Steam. This is in regards to activation only.

Eu comprei o fm2010 e nunca mais. É que não tem vantagens nenhumas ter o original. Um gajo clica em "procurar actualizações" e aquilo diz que está atualizado. Vou à net e já há um patch mais recente  Bater Cabeça
