seja do Everton ou do Man United. Estou no meu direito nao achas ?

@ Friendly English Dude,

Yesterday, the portuguese press stated the end of "Moutinho transfer affair" after a meeting between Sporting, Moutinho's manager Zahavi and Everton which allegedly resulted in failure for Everton side, as Moutinho will continue playing for SCP this season. Don't know if this came up in the english press though...

Hi. Yes we are aware of this. Some papers in England still think we will go in for him at the last minute with a bid much closer to the asking price. Can't see it happening myself.

hello, my friend.

excuse some of the ruder member of this forum :P

i just wanted to say that, personally, i'm still a little mad at Moutinho. however, having seen him in press conferences for many years, i do not think he meant that entirely. that is to say, he was always a quiet lad, well-spoken, meek, polite...and suddenly he's shooting his mouth off like that!? something's fishy here, wouldn't you say...? i think there may be someone making him say all that stuff...but i don't know, really...

anyway...you want Moutinho!? fine...send over that Gosling fellow, and we have ourselves a deal!  :rotfl:

 :offtopic:

Friendly english dude

Why doesn't Everton consider the soth american market, namely Brasil and Argentina. For the price asket for Moutinho's contract, with good prospection you guys would find maybe two top level players. In Portugal, despite playing for our rivals, Porto, we have Lucho, who didn't cost as much as Moutinho, and, even if most of my fellow Sporting fans disagree, i think is of no lesser quality than Moutinho. Of course to get him from POrto would cost you the same, but what i am saying is to get the 20 mil Euros Everton seems to be ready to pay for Moutinho and investigate the brasilian and argentinian players. There is plenty of quality there.

work permits...

Its a nightmare to get work permits for young south american players. We tried to sign Benfica's Di Maria a season or two ago (before he had joined Benfica) but the deal couldn't get the go ahead because of work permit issues. Its an issue the portugese league doesnt seem to encounter (same goes for the russian league and others).

We also bid £12 million for Lucho last season but Porto rejected the offer. id love us to sign him or moutinho but i can't see either happening. We were trying to get Tiago on loan from Juve as well but he has ended up going to Atletico Madrid by the sounds of things.

Friendly English Dude,

first of all, welcome to our forum.
I know your work permit regulation. it's a way to guarantee the quality of your league. But Man Utd bought 3 brasilian youngsters ( Rafael da Silva, Fabio da Silva e Rodrigo Possebon) that don't have any international cup. Can you explain that?

Thanks and sorry for my very bad english quality
Possebon has an Italian passport. Fabio and Rafael have recently acquired Portuguese nationality.
Hello, im back. Lots of rumors going about that we have bid £18 million for him and that a deal is on the verge of being done. Have any of you heard anything about this ? or does it just sound like more press rubbish ?

no, we havent heard anything recently but it may be true
Dude, you have to come to terms with the fact that Moutinho will not sign for Everton unless Sporting gets the £20 million for it. Anyway there's no point in paying attention to the press at this time, because tomorrow is the deadline for transfers and we'll soon know the answer to your question.  ;)

cool, what time do you expect them to fly out ? and when does your squad usually get announced ?

a few uk papers sunday headlines are saying that sporting have accepted an £18 million bid, they aren't the most reliable sources in the world though.

This don't mean nothing, if the deal goes through he won't play.
What I can see is that Paulo Bento called 20 players when only a total of 18 can be on the field and on the bench.
I hope Moutinho stays with us, but i would not be surprised if he was sold for 18 million £
